Front Wheel speed sensors missing signal

BOTH front wheel speed sensors are getting this code, I replaced one with a good known working item from my other X350 and the code still comes up. I also have a P0730 that I think is related. Any ideas? I checked the bulkhead connector and it was nice and clean. It seems odd they would both go at the same time, so I am thinking it is electrical somewhere. NO ABS problems and no check engine lights, this is all through my scanner that looks at all the OBD2 components and reports back. I just need to know where to look.

This may be useless but here it is- When I bought my 04, it had a bad speed sensor but I didnt know which one. I took a hint from Don B in the xj40 area and checked each sensor for resistance. The right front had much lower resistance than the other 3 so I replaced it and all has been well so far. Im sorry I dont know the codes off hand, but its a simple check with a cheap volt meter. Good luck.

It may be a bad reluctor ring, or even a build up of rust on the reluctor rings, giving a false signal rather than the actual sensors gone bad, check the rings for cracks, give them a clean with a wire brush and see how that goes.
I had my dash light up the other day with all sorts of stuff gone offline or showed as faults, gearbox fault, cruise unavailable, ABS , Traction control, etc, limp mode, put a reader on and it told me the rear left sensor had gone, gave no reading from that sensor at all, just a plain old zero reading, the other 3 showed speed readings, so bought a new one online, and a few days later drove down to the garage to swap it out, on the way there I had the scanner hooked up and not a peep, no codes, no dash warnings, nothing, all 4 sensors were putting out the exact same speeds on the scanner, now been on a 200 mile trip and still nothing. All I can think is that the car hadn't been used for a week or 2 and perhaps it was just a low battery voltage that caused it. really need to get it hooked up to a battery conditioner when it's not getting run.

Thank you- I will definitely do that. One thing- I swapped a good, used abs from ano9ther car and the codes CHANGED. The missing signal went away, so I am wondering if the codes are just stored in the ABS and my reader cant clear? I put my old one back in and the codes are EXACTLY the same, even if I clear them they come right back (or never were cleared?)
