Default Which front windscreen 2004 XJ8

Any thoughts of pros and cons of which windshield to instal.
I haven't decided if I'm going to keep the car yet, so why not buy the cheapest Chinese vs say, Pilkington.

I live in sunny Houston.
Do all windscreens come with anti-glare, anti-sun tint?
What features make a windscreen more expensive?
Here are 2 pics of a black area at edge of complete windshield.
What is this?
Does the rear view mirror need special care when removing or replacing?

I can't answer your questions except to say;

You need to get the right one to fit your Jag but I don't know

anymore detail except in one case fitters turned up with about three

screens before getting the correct one.

I had mine replaced about a year ago with factory OEM. The aftermarket will not have the soundproofing, no heat, and chip and scratch very easy. Plus they dont fit as well. I dont even know if anyone makes an aftermarket for the x350,

They make an aftermarket for the X350. Replaced mine two weeks ago. Safe-lite had to call the dealer and run my VIN to determine which windshield mine had. There are multiple choices depending upon your car's build. My aftermarket fit fine and so far there are no issues.

If you look up the part on rockauto.com you'll see several listed. One is the original supplier, with the heated front windshield (at least mine does, not sure if it was an option).
Others are cheaper, but don't have that, and I recall some with a tint and some without.
