Default Fuel pressure sensor?

Have been trying to track down what is for the most part, a minor issue. I say minor issue as it only occurs at startup. Doesn't affect performance whatsoever. I get a cel for high and low pressure at the rail (occasionally rich AFR too). If I put my OBD2 reader on it, gives a reading of ~54psi (when it seems to be working) when it appears it's not working I get 15.2psi static. The car wouldn't even run with this pressure imo. I guess my question is, how many fuel pressure sensors are there? Is my scanner seeing the rail pressure? If I unplug the rail sensor it will remain at the nominal and static 15.2psi. I plugged it back in and gave it a tap and I got 74psi! I suspect the sensor is faulty, however, I wanted to know whether perhaps there might be other pressure sensors my scanner is seeing. To be fair the scanner is a fairly budget Vgate iCar bt adapter. I use Torque Pro app on Android.
I read the maf sensor readings this afternoon and they were ~6g/s at an idle 660rpm. After cleaning the maf sensor (which had a fair bit of crap on it). Now I get ~4g/s at idle, but the idle remain ~650rpm, or perhaps slightly lower. Chances are I'll just go ahead and replace the sensor. Ford claim the part is discontinued, so no dice there. Any recommendations?

I guess I'll just go ahead and buy another sensor/transducer and see if that fixes it. Better just to throw money at it I suppose. Sensor looks cheap enough.

So, I bought this
Amazon Amazon
as it was listed as a compatible replacement. Once installed, all hell let loose. Ran like a bag of ***** and threw up a laundry list of codes. Circuit high for a start and a million misfires. I swapped back to original sensor and it still wasn't that happy. I suspect some plugs got fouled during the crap running episode. I'll pull them tomorrow and have a look at the colour. Proper pia though. Cost me $50 for a useless pos. If there is a schrader valve on this fuel rail, them it's pretending to be invisible. Not that it makes much difference, as the was no pressure at the rail when the sensor was removed regardless. Bollocks! I guess I have to look elsewhere. Now I get P0087 (low pressure at rail), P0172, P0175 (system too rich both banks). Major headache to be honest.

So, either this a faulty transducer, or not compatible, though it has been suggested as compatible. Would be nice to see some data sheets on these parts. I'm not sure quite why I can't seem to find any information on the parts. I'll put it on a scope Monday. I doubt I can find anything meaningful as there seems to be nothing meaningful to reference it against. Punching ghosts once again.

Would guess a faulty part myself

It looks like the right sensor. When mine went out if I unhooked it the fuel pressure defaulted to a steady pressure and the car ran fine but with a check engine light.
Yes the Schrader valve was deleted in later years for some reason. I know my 2005 STR had one but 2006 and up did not?

Yeah I guess I'll get a replacement from them. I suppose I can just claim that it is faulty. I don't know any expected values, so hopefully they just take my word for it. It isn't a Ford Focus after all.

Default Follow up sensor replacement

Finally after receiving another faulty sensor (leaked), I got a good one and fitted it. Fuel pressure readings stay accurate now. The weird little idle issues have gone and no more fault codes. So, I guess I was correct with my diagnosis and monitoring the fuel pressure was the key. Anything other than ~54-55psi it could be a sensor. Especially if it shows something impossible like 15.2psi static ....impossible for the car to run basically and then the huge 76psi I saw. All these bad readings led to rich and lean fault codes due to the engine trying to deal with bad data. Probably fuel trims would have been all over the show, idle issue etc. Happy days! another job crossed off the list.
