Garmin FM Transmitter and XJ8

I am going to pick up my (first!) Jaguar, an '04 XJ8 VDP, this weekend! Will post pics then.
Since it does not have an internal navigation system, I am considering purchasing a portable GPS - specifically, the Garmin Nuvi 760. I was curious whether any of you have had any experience with using the Garmin FM transmitter in an XJ8 and can tell me how well it has worked. Thanks.

I have a Garmin wt265 and am very happy with it. However since it has bluetooth it can also be used for phone hands free. The problem is it does not connect to the radio and as a result every time I am driving in a strange place I have to have the radio off or turn the volume down very low so I can hear the voice cues. I am in the process of replacing the factory stereo with a Pioneer unit that has nav, bluetooth and ipod control. I wanted the nav/entertain/ipod integration so all of them work together.
In answer to your original question no I don't have any experience with the fm transmitter but would be curious to hear what others think of it.
