Default Gas pump cuts off when filling up

I noticed recently when I try filling up, the gas pump keeps clicking off before the tank is full. I have tried keeping the nozzle not completely in but it does not really solve the issue. BTW I use different petrol stations and most of the pumps in Dubai are modern. Could it be a part/valve in the fuel tank needs replacing ?

I believe that is a safety feature, a pressure sensor on the pump. Does it do it when you start or close to when you are finished?

+1 to the safety feature

Fueling recommendation is to fill to the point the pump stops automatically and not to try squeezing more in.

That being said, I've found pumps that seem to trip early. Try rotating the nozzle to one side instead of holding vertically.

It does it at the very beginning and all along. I thought it could be the pump where I go most of the time but it happens at others too. Once it took over 15mns to put 25L of gas. When it is 45 degres outside, it is rather tough. By that time the attendant had given up and I was doing it myself LOL.As long as it is not a fault on the car I am okay. I have been having so many issues with the car recently, I could do with a little break!

I know what it is! Mine does the very same thing. When it is very hot here in Florida, heat and pressure in the tank affect how quickly the pump will operate. Next time when you remove the gas cap, leave it open for about 30 seconds to vent before placing the fill nozzle.

I always turn the nozzle 90°, on every modern car, it prevents the stoppages at the beginning, by the time your 3/4 full you can bring it back down to vertical.
