Gentlemen Check Your Speakers!
I thought my audio system did not sound quite right...I had 1 dash speaker that was going...Well I replaced it and it made only a slight difference...Hmmm I said and began to poke around...As it turned out my left front, right front, and right rear bottom door speakers were all dead...After a little research here, I found that the voice coil lead connections are a common problem on the Alpine speakers...After removing the door panels which was pretty easy, I removed them and soldered a jumper wire to the two voice coils and one at a time they all came back to life...What a difference in the sound quality! Take a listen and post your results!

Yes, common problem. I thought my nav system had failed as most audio comes from front door speakers.
Have found this problem in all three cars in my area
Problem always seems to be where the wire is melted into the plastic. Wire soldered from metal and wrapped to write on other side of plastic.

I knew I had a problem a months ago when all of a sudden the sound level decreased. When I adjusted the balance, there was little sound coming from the right. Sometimes, there was sound but the level was alway less than the left side.
Today, I soldered the front right speaker wires. Fixed.
The rear right speaker was unplugged. Plugged it in and it works. I bet that speaker has been unplugged since it left the factory.
