Hi guys. I have 2002 xj8 I really like this car but sometimes due to some leaks here n there it makes me crazy . Anyway I have seen 2005 xj8 v8 for 1500$ car needs some coils and abs not working definitely vacuum leaks too rough shift from 2nd to 1 . I don't really like this model but I need a car which must be there while fixing my x308 . Also is the x350 better than the x308 in reliability ? Is there enough after market parts ? Because dealer burns wallet

 

A cheap Jaguar is the most expensive kind to buy, I M H O.

 

Any cheap Jaguar can end up being a shedload of problems, and the X350 can have a lot, and don't forget it has air suspension that is very expensive to fix if it goes wrong. There is a quite active aftermarket for a lot of parts that are most commonly needed like suspension items.
An X350 for $1500 sounds like it has lead a very hard life. However, these cars can run the marathon if properly maintained but if it needs coils and the ABS isn't working, you'll be in for quite a lot of expenditure just on the parts. The ABS could just be a wheel sensor. These are not all that costly. Best thing you could buy would be a code reader that can read the Jaguar codes as well as the common ones.
