I have found this GPS upgrade and wondering if any one in AUS or NZ have bought it, and does it work OK?

Yes that's what I installed, Aus24/NZ13
Check the NSW or NZ subforums for mention of it. I found there was no "upgrading of the operation system" on my X358, just the newer maps which are still sort of old of course.

Thanks very much Chris, that give me confidence in purchasing it as I have now done. So I guess it is just a case of putting the disc into the slot below the screen? Are there prompts to install it?

I just installed the disk for an instant upgrade. One can read the map version number when done.
Bear in mind the description in the other threads. If it does "upgrade the operating system", which it might do depending, this may take some time and do not disturb.

Edit: Disk goes in the GPS disk holder in the boot. You'd have to pull out the old disk first. There are no prompts.
