Groaning - Rattling Sounds from Rear End
On our '06, we're hearing a Groan or Rattling sound emanating from the back of the car; can't tell if its left or right side. At first you think it sounds like a loose exhaust pipe rattling against the body but there is also a groan sound too.
It often happens after starting for the first time of the day, although it has happened at other times. The sound goes away in short order. usually less than a hundred feet! I heard the are some Air Suspension components back there and THAT has me concerned.
Has any one ever experienced something like this?

I thought of those but somewhat ruled them out since the "growl" went away shortly after moving the car a short distance. What's running through my mind is possibly the Electronic Parking Brake system or possibly a rear strut not liking the morning temperatures (they've been around 25-30F)! In any event, it sounds expensive!
I was hoping that this was more common than it appears to be. Now I'm concerned even more. It's not the type of issue you want to keep fixing (throwing money at it) until the issue goes away!
I'm thinking of taking it to a shop to have them read any codes whic may have been generated.
Thanks for your thoughts!

Just a follow up:
Talked to a Jag mechanic who walked me through an Electronic Parking Brake reset. Truthfully, I can't remember all the steps but it did involve setting the PB, pumping the brakes a couple of times, release the PB, shutting down and restarting.
So far THAt put an end to the "growl" sound!!!!!!!!
Actually now that its not growling I can hear the "rattle" sound on start-up better - it sounds like perhaps the exhaust system hitting the body but its hard to tell from inside.
Any one experience a rattling exhaust system?
Thanks for your help!

All problems solved!
Since the mechanic reprogramed the Electronic Parking Brake, that issue was resolved.
After putting the car on a lift, we discovered that a long bolt connecting the exhaust sytem was barely touching a support bar on the rear. We repositioned the bolt and instantly the problem was solved.
