Absolutely no problem Pearlfisher.....I wasn't stating you must do a search, its been covered, don't ask, I was simply pointing you to the detailing section where there are several threads on it.
I don't think its too expensive and you can probably facilitate a repair yourself after watching some how to videos no doubt.
The alternative is someone like Dave to do it for you for around $100 iirc

Thanks! I always search before posting, but rarely have much success.
I have already read all the threads thoroughly and purchased a 3M restoration kit through Amazon for less than $15. My next task will be to fully research and then decide on which UV shield will be most effective.

From the threads in the detailing section, it is a common problem. It seems that the UV coating becomes fugitive over time and I am sure many repair facilities have been quoting and getting vast amounts of money for replacements.
I have a suspicion that my left side lenses are new, and that one of the reasons for the previous owner selling the car, is that with the combination of costs of a new headliner, full set of tyres and the two right side headlight lenses, that his wife was beginning to apply the brakes. (which will need doing soon too)

I have already had it professionally replaced by the people who used to do my limo interiors when I was in the business.
Here in Texas, the summers tend to be very hard on the foam roof liners, and Galaxy Auto Trim in Houston, have a special fix that has never failed on any vehicle I have had them treat. Under $400 and same day service.
They also do perfect leather colour matching, so good that on my 85 7 series BMW, after, you could not tell a new seat panel from the rest except for the obvious lack of wear.
