Help With Brake Pads 2006 XJR
Hello All,
Thanks in advance for your expertise. I am in the process of replacing front brake pads on my 06 XJR and have ran into a problem on what is typically the easiest step. I've removed old rotors off calipers painted them and ready to install new pads. Based on the caliper design the new pads won't press into place with hands, do you need to separate the caliper's 4 torx bolts and outer edge in order to install the pads in the grooves?

On to the back pads now...... Has anyone found a company that sells the " //R" in a vinyl to use on the caliper? There was a thread on the XKR site with guy by the name of Greg Somers that works for SignPro who created one, however it's difficult to get a hold of him. There are some nice pics of the vinyl "//R" with painted calipers.
I originally painted my front calipers Aluminum, but ended up changing to Black and will be painting the back as well. Once ceramic pads are installed all around next step is to have the rims powder coated "Class A Sliver".....
