Default HELP! Need pictures ASAP

While replacing the headrest motors, the dealer service tech broke both driver and passenger front seat backs, cracking them in half.

Anyone here with a charcoal interior Super V8 or Vanden Plas with rear entertainment can take good pics of the seat backs with the table trays open? I thought I had pics of mine to show them, but I cannot find them now.

Thank you very much!

I don't have a picture with the trays extended.

No kidding, they apparently did not realize the tray tables were screwed in, he said they get very few cars with them. However of the 3 Jaguar dealers in town, they are the best or were.

What an expensive mistake. What an idiot, as the instructions in the PDF available here are quite clear on how to remove the seat back with tray tables, and they are completely different instructions then when you are removing seat backs without them.

Heck, my local stereo installer was able to do it without damage. That tech needs to find a new job. Do we know if this guy is really a certified Jag tech? Seems hard to believe.

Are they still able to order replacements?

I don't know, do Jag dealers require their techs be certified?

Yes, but they opted to have their local automotive upholstery shop rebuild them with new fibre board instead, which I am okay with as long as they look as good as new. One of the things most seem to not appreciate is even though it is 6 years old, the car looks as nearly new as the day it rolled off of the assembly line.

I always dread taking cars in for service whether it be because I fear something will not be repaired completely or something else broken or left off in the process or because something cosmetically will be damaged. Sadly they re-affirm these fears without fail nearly every time. IT does not matter if it is BMW, Mercedes, Jaguar, or Dodge for my Ram (3 times I went there for an oil change and they did not put the filter on right and the oil spilled out within a day).

Got the car back today with the seat backs repaired. Driver side is perfect but passenger side tray is very hard to open and close and there is a gap around the inside rim between the cover and the seat back. See pics. Any suggestions? I'd rather not have to go back to the dealer, again.
