Exclamation Help with radiator hoses

Hello everyone,

i have a 2007 XJ (V6) and I'm having difficulty locating hoses for the radiator. there are 3 or 4 coolant leaks in different hoses going to and out from the radiator. is there a radiator hose diagram for the V6 engine?

also is there a difference between the V8 and V6 coolant hoses? I'm lost and i can't simply order the parts online because i have no knowledge in which hose is for what

so if there is a diagram please share it

i will try to add pics of the coolant leaks.

Thx in advance

Hello, I typically order all my own parts (and do all the repairs). When it came to ordering the coolant hoses I was having such a hard problem getting the correct part #s that I went to the dealer and with my VIN they were able to order me all the hoses... Even with the VIN one of the hoses did not match... They weren't cheap. lol

I attempted to purchase all of my own parts for my 2004 (V8) and used the Jaguar Electronic Parts Catalogue to identify and purchase them on line. It was some time ago but I recall it was not easy. First I had problems downloading/accessing the catalogue. Then I had quite a bit of problems locating the coolant hoses as they are located in the most confusing manner. Some are engine coolant parts, others are air conditioning/heater and perhaps even in other categories that were not intuitive. If you have the time you can probably find your parts there as well. The VIN may also be important as it was for my 2004. Just be aware for some reason Jaguar did not make it easy to find the radiator hoses. The Jaguar Electronic Parts Catalogue can be downloaded from this forum and is very handy when I can get it to work.

Take a look at SNG Barratt. The latest catalog is available for download in the stickies.
Hope X6 is simpler than XJR.

I concur with the fact thst the Jaguar parts catalogue is confusing, I went through the hassle as well, but if you spend enough time with it, you will manage to find them.

There is no need to download the catalogue, you can access it via Internet:
https://parts.jaguarlandroverclassic...03-2009-parts/

The V6 engine is also included.

For schematics, here you will also find helpful information, including pictures/diagrams:

I would especially refer to
18. Technical guide
22. Workshop manual - sections

Best regards,

Thomas

Default Moving on to next issue

I was eaten up replacing expansion tank. First arrived broken, then the hose at bottom leaked after a few days.
Looked at getting another, but saw my issue. Bolted tank down prior to installing hose. Drained tank, loosened bolt, and clicked the hose back on.
Thought issues were behind me. Even got all the air out first time.
But two days later the couple week old Arnott strut on right front quit holding air. So another replacement.
Those fully adjustable Maxpeedingrods coil overs are looking better and better.

I am unable to see any mention of your location so I don't know if this is of any help to you, but you could try sending your VIN number to Jaguar X350 X358 XJ XJR Parts XJ X350 New Parts |British Parts UK and ask for a diagram and a breakdown of the cost of all the hoses?
