Dallas_arctic, that looks a seriously nice car ! I looked at one in your colour before I bought my Sport in Jaguar Racing Green.

Full marks for polishing the exhaust trims !! On my car, I think I was the first person to do so in 7 years !!

Thanks Everyone. The Hankook tires are very very quiet, which was my top priority over performance or wear. I was really concerned about the 20" tires being loud, but i am very happy with them so far.

Man, there is not much sidewall there, I really need to be careful on the pot holes.

Next addition is the rear spoiler, very small and subtle, but adds an extra sporty look to the rear end.

Going back and forth on the Window Tinting?? I've done every car that I've had here in Texas because of the heat, but not sure.

More Pics when I get the spoiler installed.

I think it'd look great with a mid tint....not limo black, but a medium smoked tint. Would really add to the car

35% all the way around with a 20% "banner" on the windshield is what I have and love it. It looks darker in pictures than what it actually is, but it's a perfect blend of privacy/sun blocking.

I got the Jag windows tinted 35% all around today, it looks great! I will post PICS tomorrow. "Alta Mere" Tinting in Plano Texas. I did the non metalic tinting with the IR heat block Was a little more expensive, but the owners manual said don't do any tinting with the metal oxide type as it might interfere with the GPS, Bluetooth, AM/FM, etc...

Just what I was going to say. I like the look of the big wheels though, just leery on so little rubber.

Check your owners manual about tinting the rear window. Has to do with the electronic heating grid.

Dallas,

Where did you get the Hankooks. I don't see them at my local Discount Tire. Did you get them fron Tire Rack? I want to try them on my X350 this time around. Wanted to try them on my BMW, but Discount tire came up with a bargain deal on a set of BFG directionals when I tried to buy them.

Thanks

Hi Steve, even though not in stock, Discount Tire can order them from you. Unless Tire Rack can get you a comparable price, my DT store beat any online price I found. G'luck!

Default Actually I Have . . .

Nothing to say because I am unable to view your new wheels because of an insufficient number of posts. (I'm a "New Guy"). I'm sorry to clutter up this thread but I'm trying to up my "post count".

I can't wait to begin viewing the pictures contained in the posts and to be able to view the "Photo Gallery".

So, I hope that you'll understand my frustration, feel my pain and forgive me this prosaic post.

Quiet1, hang on in there ! If you're patient you will soon be able to find out a lot. There are an awful lot of guys here that have done things that you maybe want to do soon, so have the experience of success (and failure too !!).

I got the Hankooks at Discount Tire. if they don't have them at your store they can get them. I went on line and found them cheaper with free shipping, so discount tire matched the price.
