Hissing Sound From ABS Unit

Hissing Sound From ABS Unit
Switching the engine off after completing my latest repair, with the hood open, I thought that I heard a vacuum leak. Upon inspection, it is coming from the ABS unit. I haven't examined carefully yet, but will later this weekend.
Does this sound familiar to anyone?
Thanks and best,
Steve

There's no vacuum at the ABS unit. The nearest vacuum hose is the line that goes to the secondary air system on the front of the engine, and that line runs the length of the engine along the right side, to a reservoir behind the right front wheel, but neither end of that line is within a foot of the ABS unit.
The air line to the right front strut passes over the ABS unit, and is even clipped to one of the hydraulic brake pipes.
Beyond those, there is a humongous amount of cooling system hoses right around that area, so one wonders if the hissing you hear is coolant escaping, although you'd expect steam or a water spray to be visible.

Thanks, Wfooshee!
Had a few minutes, so I cranked her again & while the engine is running, no sound (Sound could be muted by engine noise). However, once she is turned off, hissing commences. As best I can tell, it is under the shock absorber well. 10 or more years ago, I replaced one of the shocks & rebuilt the compressor. Is there something on the shock that can be repaired that might be leaking; or, should I order a new one?
Texture: It is 15 degrees Fahrenheit in the garage. Only one of the shocks leaks (assuming it is the shock) after the engine is off.
If a shock needs replacing, I will consider replacing the system with traditional shocks.
Any & all help is much appreciated!
Thanks,
Steve S.
