Default Holding Air shock pressure

Ho folks,

This is my story. I have 2004 XJR last year and the car was very great with me till last week when I got Air Suspension fault. I recognize that the leak coming from the driver rear shock. Front air shock are new - replace them when it was 48,000 now the car has 63,000.

I search and I found ARNOTT COMPANY which provide rebuilt and new model air shocks, so I ordered a new pair ARNOTT AS-2520 and i replaced them both yesterday. Those are working for both XJR version and other models.

The car handling very nice and smooth with new air shocks but this is the problem. As soon as turned off and locked the car and leave it for an hour, rear shocks they don't hold pressure, and when I unlock the car, it goes up again!!

I followed the instructions when I installed the new shocks!!!

How can I fix this problem?

Anybody help, please?

Regards,
RABEEA

Rabeea,

I've moved your question from General Tech Help section to X350 section. Members here with the same model will be able to advise on the Air Shock pressure problem.

When you park up, is the car on a slope or dead level ? While you think nothing happens when the car is shut down, the air suspension can adjust itself for a level stance. I find when I start my car, after a couple of days the front raises itself by about 1/2". I park on a slight upward slope on my driveway so assume the car is dropping the front when standing for some reason only Jaguar suspension engineers know !

It has done this since I bought the car in May 2010 so I am well used to it now.

When you change air shocks there is a set procedure to follow so that the

electronics does not recognise the change.

See attached file written by one of our members,I think it was Steve,(Jaguar Technician),

also you could have a word with Arnott's I believe their customer service is very good.
