Default How do you take out a 2006 Jaguar XJ8-L radio?

Can any1 please help?
Does any1 have knowledge on, have or can point me in the right direction on Docs, Vids ect.. on

I would really appreciate it.
There is no dash kit I or any1 I have ask can find so I found some1 to 3D print me a piece for the dash.
I have to take the radio out so he can measure & scan for the new dash piece that will also hold the radio in place.

It's been a while since I did this, so others correct me if I've got something wrong.. but IIRC you have to take out the center console out to get the radio and the other bits out. Start by removing the rear air vents with a trim tool and disconnect, there are some screws there securing the center console that have to undone. Unscrew the gear lever knob and remove the gear lever surround with a trim tool, which i think just pops off there are two screws underneath. Once all the fixings are released lift the rear of the center console up and move it back to remove it. There are lips at the top of the console above the radio which locates it in place.

If you look here

https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...enance-246865/

you will find the workshop manual under 21. (complete) and 22. (in sections). How to remove the audio unit is described under "Electrical". I would recommend to download the complete workshop manual, because there are cross references to various chapters.
Best regards,
Thomas

Yes, center console out, starting at the back with the air vents and pieces there. Once the center console is out, the entire assembly comes out, from the CD player at the bottom to the switches at the top, as a single unit, with several electrical connectors on the back. Once it's out, you can separate the individual sections. (I might be mis-remembering, that upper switch panel might remain in place with everything else coming out, but I don't think so.)
