Default How to get to intercooler hose connection????

How the heck to you get the hose clamp off of the passenger side of the intercooler radiator? I've removed the front grill, and I can see the clamp, but I can't get any pair of pliers to work. I've got needle nose hose clamp pliers, regular needle nose pliers, and all kinds of other specialty pliers.

There is a heavy duty bracket that seems to also hold the headlights. If I could get that out of the way, I could get to the clamp. But I really don't want to disassemble and remove the entire front bumper if I don't have to.

I guess nevermind. After a few temper tantrums and lots of head scratching, lots of torn knuckles and zip-ties, I got it removed and replaced. They didn't design these cars with maintenance in mind, did they?

On the other hand, if anyone knows of the "quick solution", please share.

There is a tool sold at Sears that is a remote hose clamp pliers, it has a cable operated hose clamp that will work in tight locations. Its usually a matter of having the right tools, not the engineering.

I'll stop by Sears and pick one up for next time. Thanks! Any other "specialty" tools like this I should add to my collection for maintenance?
