How to replace the air suspension compressor
Here is the how to for replacing the air suspension compressor. I'm seeing more and more so hopefully this will help. I also provide a link to an Arnott compressor which I can say that they seem to be pretty good as I haven't have to warranty one yet.

good stuff. The pump arnott sells is the same as the jaguar one, (Wabco) so it should last as many years.
Other option, and not much more work (and much cheaper) is to rebuild the compressor.

I did Andy's kit a few months ago and it's worked like a charm. Fast fill and quieter.

Below are links to photos showing the air compressor piston ring seal replacement and air dryer desiccant replacement on our X350. The piston ring kit was about USD $50 and the molecular seive dessicant was about $50. If your air dryer uses silica gel it will be less expensive to replenish, but most owners don't even bother replacing the desiccant:

Other than the piston ring, there are very few things that can go wrong with the compressor aside from motor failure, piston rod bearing failure, or internal corrosion so severe that it cannot be repaired (all very rare so far). At this point in the life cycle of the X350, I would guess that 99% of air compressors just need a piston ring and a good cleaning, so money spent on a new compressor could be better spent on something else, like Arnott rebuilt Bilstein air spring/damper units!

Arnott ask you to change the relay to give the compressor a warranty,
if you put a brand new compressor into a car with a stuck relay it will last approx 1 week!
so they demand you change the relay to make the waranty apply, a stuck relay will show with the compressor running excesively & even with the car turned off, if this ever happens change the relay ASAP

Lift up front end and place on Jack stands.

Fitted 90 degree 10 millim. knee then 10 polyamid hose, connection 10mill to 8 mill, a T in 8mill .
to the fuelfilter an 8 mill poly and to make the connection fuel hose 8mill inside diam.to the back after the dryer 8 mill hose poly and 8 mill 90 degree knee.
from the fuelfilter to the arrival soft rubberhose (10mill) from the original airfilter I used fuelhose 8 mill inside and a connector 8 mill to 10 mill
