iCarsoft i930 OBD-II scanner read suspension codes?
I am getting an air suspension fault about 50% of the time, but it seems to still function - a list of codes indicates there are many different things that can trigger that message.
I saw this "Jaguar iCarsoft i930 OBD-II Engine Vehicle Diagnostic Tool Code Scanner" on eBay for $140 and asked if it will read air suspension codes on my 06 Super V8. They said yes. Has anyone used this scanner and can verify that it does in fact read air suspension codes?
There is also another scanner on ebay listed as an i930 with a different looking case for $150 and I asked them the same question and their response so far is that Super V8 is not a Jaguar model.

I had icarsoft for my Mercedes. I don't remember the version though.
The software was junk imo. Support was very slow. They tried but "needed to get their hands on a 2003 S Class so they could correct the software." Issues reading Airmatic and SRS.
Nice folks, they tried. I didn't have any issues with the software on an E Class MB, except very slow response times.
Too weird for me that it would work for all system modules on one car model and only some (though it was most) on other model, both the same manufacturer.
I have different diagnostic software now (on the same laptop) and it works great.
my two cents fwiw

I had one rear air spring that would drop about an inch and stay. Had to measure it to verify on an uneven driveway. Seemed to leak once at ride height. Never went all the way down even after sitting for two weeks.

I bought a brand new iCarsoft i930 device a few months ago. I returned it the week I received it because it said "Communication Failure with ECU" on both my X350 and X300. I sent query to the seller and got a response, asking if both of my cars have been modified, yes, the X300 was converted to manual, but the X350 was all original, and my previous workshop that has the Autologic Bluebox successfully read both cars. Was quite disappointed as I thought i930 was supposed to be a Jaguar specific scanner.

Yours may be defective. It should read Land Rovers also. See if you can get a refund.
I purchased a 100.00 scanner from Harbor Freight to read the ABS codes on our 335i. I need to see what it can read on the Jaguar.

When I first received my iCarsoft i930 it did not read the codes. But upgrading the software to latest turned it into a very valuable tool. It was not a very difficult process: Software Updates_Resources

Clifton94 - Good for you. I presumed your i930 did not require software update before using fine on your XJR 2007.
romroc - I bought the i930, not the LRII version, as I wanted it to work on both my 1995 XJR and 2005 X350. No matter which one, certainly the first step was to select Jaguar and car model, and proceed from there.
jello_g - Yeh, when I met with probem using the device I messaged the seller who in turn contacted iCarsoft's support service. Below is their reply:
"We asked iCarSoft about your specific issues and they said:
For the 1995 XJR6 X300 4.0 Supercharged car.
I'm afraid that i930 maybe exist some problem.
Because this car is too old.
For the 2005 XJ6L X350 3.0 V6 car,
Could you pls check below information with your client?
1. If his car belongs to the OBDII protocol?
2. If his car has been modified before?
3. You can suggest him to update his scanner and then test the car again.
If the problem still exist, pls ask him to offer the VIN of his car to you.
Then I can check with the engineer."
You know, according to web info, only the i930 can read pre-1996 Jaguar models. So the excuse that a 1995 XJR is too old for the i930 is no excuse. I bought the i930 mainly for the 1995 XJR, as the i930 would cover my 2005 X350 as well. I would have bought the LRII version if not for the 1995 XJR. Anyway, I did not want to temper with the device further by updating the software only to find that it still does not work and iCarsoft has to check with its engineer further, or it only works on the 2005 X350 but not the 1995 XJR. There is always a chance that I was just not lucky with this particular i930 device sold to me, and not all i930. There is a long thread in this forum about OBDII scanners,
OBDII Code Scanners **Member Approved**
which I read before buying the i930, but, long story short, I decided after purchasing it and reading the iCarsoft comments through the seller that a speedy return would be my best option at the time.
It may be that iCarsoft devices work great on later models, but I am not taking any chances on my 1995 XJR which I intend to keep.
