Icarsoft LRv2.0 questions.
Hello all
I know the scanner talks are many a many. I just got the icarsoft LRv2.0. Which i believe is an upgrades model of the i930 and LRii. Initially it would not scan Abs and a couple other modules. But i don't think The others are present. I unplugged abs and left unplugged car did not like that at all. Dash like a xmas tree. Message box listing all messages and touchscreen displaying comm error call mechanic. Plugged back in fixed that.
Basically i think the obd plug was dirty and a few plug ins fixed it. As it scans the ABS now.
Anyway I looked thru hours of posts and only one mention of my issue so im reaching out.
I can't get it to scan OBD with the OBD function. I can scan a 98 lesabre my winter car and the wife's Santa Fe. I have a innovo handheld only shows codes nothing fancy and it works. So does anyone know if the OBD function should work or if the p codes are pulled with full diag setting. I do have p codes in my system scans. Mostly want to determine if something is not working right in the car or if its the scanner.
Some side notes
2004 XJR
It wont scan the air suspension but the car has been converted to coil over and is running the suspension jumper to eliminate the fault code. So its possible this doesn't work because of that but would that stop the OBD.
98 lesabre OBD loads about halfway thru the list of modules
Santa fe loads real fast after starting.
XJR Goes thru whole list.. i.e. iso# and such then ends with communication link error message.
Any help is appreciated.
Any questions are welcomed
Thanks
Steven

I have a LR V.1 which read all codes including OBD.
However, when I connected it to my laptop and downloaded the latest version of its software, it stopped showing OBD?
I contacted iCarsoft.us | Barnett Davies <support@icarsoft.us> and he sent me a download of the software my device originally came with and now it is back to showing everything including OBD?
Might be worth you getting in touch with him?

Thanks for the reply. I will reach out to them. Have you used the obd function on other cars than LRJ? As I'm finding it restarts itself every couple of minutes when hooked to Hyundai and buick. I did up date it but it askes which version i want only when using diagnostic function. I also have a choice between all versions installed so I'm not really stuck to the update. I am under the impression that the update only improved functionality for LRJ specific modules?

Works just fine now....
I still have the compressed file sent to me to return my LR V1.0 to its original software; however I obviously don't know whether this would be of use to you with a LR V.2?

This is an interesting thread. I bought an i930 about a year ago and I could have sworn it read the ECM when I got it. The next time I tried to use it (after "updating" the SW) all I got when trying to read the ECM is: "Fault in Communication with Vehicle ECU" which completely freaked me out. I emailed Mr. Davies at the time and he replied: "i930 has limited support for old Jaguar, Please try OBD II test". The OBD II test didn't work either.
Since then I have had to use my cheapo BAFX scanner from Amazon for ECU codes and the i930 for everything else. I just emailed Mr. Davies to see if he can send me am older version of SW for the i930. It would be great to have everything in one scanner!!!

Agreed; after updating, I could get OBD11 info under the 'Diagnosis' heading but it was not as useful as the information I could get under the OBD11 header, which I was able to re-use once I had returned my LR V.1 to its original configuration?

I did contact Barnet and we exchanged emails back and forth. He wanted vin and for me to create and send him a log file. That was a week ago then he went dark. Might be due to virus concerns.
I am returning the V2.0 as I haven't heard back from him and dont want to be stuck with a defective item if that's what it comes down to.
currently looking for a VCM or Mongoose non-clone.

No, only used on Jaguar. For my LR V.1 model, updating gave no increased functionality...Far from it...all it achieved was to remove the OBD11 functionality?

Any chance you would send me the original file so I can fix mine please.
Thank you!

Guess I'll have to wait for the icarsoft support to get back to me.
Thank you

Greetings from the UK.
I am having issues reading OBD code of my 1996 XJS 4.0 (X27) Coupe RH drive UK model.
Can't auto read the vin. Manual input vin and it comes up with X200 (2.5LAJ-V6) I have the straight 6.
Auto scan recognises Straight 6 fitted but then comes up with LYNK ERROR.
I have updated to Firmware V24,03 and Jaguar V33.1
Can anyone advise? Regards
