Hello forum, I have searched but not really found anything. Does anyone have a suggestion for a mechanic that is okay with "bring your own" parts? I have not had much luck in Ohio, some of the things I need I either have to buy used or want aftermarket, I have some good shops around but none of them are willing to take that plunge.

If anyone near Ohio, Michigan or Indiana region has someone they could recommend that allows bring your own parts that would be awesome. Thanks!

 

In what part of Ohio do you reside?

There seems to be a shortage of good mechanics.

I'm lucky enough to know a couple, that will explain, & help me if necessary.

So far i've been able to avoid the service dept at the dealer.

Parts dept, & the delivery guy, know me by name though.

 

I am Near Columbus. I also will be living part time around Lansing Michigan the next few months (work travel) I need some rear suspension work done and also the parking sensors looked at, possibly a heater core (it for sure is going) but may wait on that and make it just a summer car.

Was recommended by the place i bought my 04 XJ8.

Was where they take their cars to have them fixed to sell.

There is another recommended place closer to me, but even farther from you.

Looks like both are way too far from your location in Lancing.

BUT people drive long distances to have them work on their Jaguars, as well as many other imports.
