Insufficient air from centre vent (2008,XJ)

I assume that you have checked that the thumbwheel flaps are working ok.
There are seven motors which operate the blend doors in the climate control in the dash.
These are attached to the sides of the CC unit 3 on one side and 4 on the other.
You may have a fault with one of these.

If that is the case you may pick up a circuit fault with SDD or by a dealer scan for codes.
The other way is to lower the glove box and watch the linkages from the motors while an
assistant presses the controls but the fault may be on the other side and I think access is
more difficult.

Thanks Meirion for your reply, i have missed up with the car a little and opened the dashboard and the ventilation frame, then when i got my hand inside i noticed that there is a filter, so i brought an air compressor and got it inside and below air to clean up. And yes it did the trick and fixed the problem when i switched the AC back on, so the vent was maybe blocked with some dirt which has restricted the air flow
