White was actually my first choice for color until I found the liquid silver I bought. I think it looks elegant in white.

Panthera13, I agree the door locking mechanism is loud but sounds more like a bank vault then a cheap junk. I have owned and driven many cars in my day and I feel the X350 XJ8 is the sweetest driving full sized 4 door sedan on the market.

Well since you've put it that way.. I'll be more receptive to the way it locks. Thanks for enlightening me.
I've seen quite a few offered for sale .. I sometime question VDP or XJ8R.. I'm still actively looking and I'll post anything of interest. Btw, the small dealer offering the white one I posted previously still has it for sale. I saw it was re listed on eBay, if he had many offers close to what he wanted then why does he still have it??

Anywho, I appreciate the feedback you gents provid.

If you're coming from a BMW or a Benz, I think you don't need to worry about the ride comfort of the supercharged XJ's, at least not on 19 inch rims. I find my XJR still too soft and it certainly is softer than any BMW or Benz that I've driven. Try the SC ones. They're really fun and I don't think you'll regret the torque and the power they have over the normally aspirated versions. The shocks can always be changed (when they leak) to the comfort ones instead of sport ones that the R has if you don't like them.

I saw a reference to a "wrapped dash"

what's that, and how does it differ from an unwrapped one?

Thanks! I'll definitely look at the SC models.

Begs the question about SC model --- At what point/mileage do I need to worry about the supercharger?

Gents,
I saw this 2008 XJR - asking $24,500.
Feedback appreciated. I plan to test drive this coming week.
