Hello everyone.
The interior audible alarm on my 2003 XJR has stopped working.
What I have done:
- Did some research on here first.
- I bought and replaced the little speaker on the side of the steering column. No joy.
- Pulled out my multi meter and check power to the speaker leads. No joy.
- Pulled out my operation manual and reviewed which fuse or relay it may be.

Honestly I have absolutely no idea which one it is based on everything I'm seeing and reading.

Does anyone know which fuse or relay it maybe?
Or any other thoughts?

 

A little more info about me trying to be an active participant in my own rescue.

- Completely removed the cowling around the steering column. Look for any bad places in the wiring.... None.
- Checked every fuse that I would relate to to speaker.

Still no idea what module would correlate to the audible alarm.

Thoughts?

 

- Today while doing more Car Yoga trying to get my audible alarm and turn signal speaker to work I turned on the car radio to a AM station to pass the time.
- I had the Flashers on while fiddling with the wiring and speaker hoping to hear that joyful tic tic... Nothing from the newly installed speaking in the steering column....

- BUT I could slightly hear that beautiful Tic Toc in the stereo speaker while on an AM station.

- Yesterday I took my multimeter to the wire leads for the speaker.... nothing.

Reaching out again, is there a module I need to check?
A specific fuse?

Nothing in the hand book screams Hey Buddy, this is it! Check me, check me!
