Intermittent electronics
I have a couple of odd problems that are increasing in frequency. It's a 2004 XRJ with 99,000 miles. The first problem has happened about 6 or 8 times now, the first maybe a year ago and the last three times in the last week. I start the car and have no audio. Everything on the screen functions normally, I can change source, select tracks, etc., and the display shows a song playing, but no sound. I restart the car and it's fine. It's like the amp isn't being switched on. The audio is completely stock, although I did add the PSE and ACM about three years ago.
The second thing is the driver's seat, starting about a year ago and getting worse as well. I get in and start the car and the seat does not slide forward to the driving position. Sometimes pressing the seat memory button moves it into place, but sometimes that doesn't work either. Restarting the car usually clears the problem, but not always. Sometimes I have to manually use the controls to slide it forward. It has never failed to slide back when I exit the car.
Any ideas where I should start checking this? I have WDS and there are no fault codes.

Yeah 12.1V is too low
What happens is when the engine cranks the voltage will drop considerably, if it goes down too low then things start to go weird...
If your voltmeter can record min/max then hook it up to record and start the car, you might be surprised with how low it goes while cranking...

Low battery voltage could of course also be due to alternator regulation being faulty, so that the alternator charging voltage is too low. Not too likely that the solid state regulator will do that, but worn brushes no longer making good contact with the slip rings could do it. It's be worth measuring the voltage when the engine is running well above idle speed.
