I asked because a hard reset can be done with SDD and you can screw it up if you jostle the cable while it's happening but that doesn't apply here.
So you understand, a hard reset of the battery is simply to return the modules to their original state by draining any capacitors of power. It will not fix a problem, but it won't cause them either so your hard reset didn't make things worse. (And btw, disconnect both cables and hold them together for a couple of minutes in the future.)
The most common cause of the problems you're experiencing is a depleted battery.
If it's me, I will take the battery to the local auto parts store and have them load test it. That's the starting point.
You can test it yourself if you have two people and a voltmeter, but the auto store will check it for free.
Where are you in Minnesota? Are we neighbors?

I would start with getting the codes as swapping parts is never a good idea and codes will narrow it down. Here are a few threads that will give you an idea but let's get the codes first.

Though TPS or throttle body can cause the problem, you can see the most of the time, poor ground or bad battery is causing the problem. Codes will help take the guesswork out of it.

P2135 is an Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor fault which probably explains your acceleration/ idle issue. This sensor is located on the accelerator pedal. There are several tests for it, but the first thing to do is check the connection. Do you have a service manual?

Too far for you to drive up and hook up my SDD to her. How does the battery test fine? Did you load test it? Aside from P2135, everything points to battery. TPI or TB are possibilities but battery is where I would confirm beyond a doubt, followed by testing ground points which are notoriously weak on the X350, especially behind the headlights where the corrode and snap off like twigs just loosening the nut.

You're correct. A hard reset will not in and of itself, cause your problem.
