Hey Everyone.
I currently drive a 2006 XJ-R
The heat stopped working on the driver side of the car, my vent in the back seat center counsel is broken, and some of my sensors need to be replaced. Budd's Jaguar in Oakville, On, Canada is charging me $5500 to repair all this.
Does this seem ridiculous just want to get some idea's here. Never had to do a major reapir yet.
Any help would be great.
Thank you.

how come its not warrantied?
do you know whats causing the heat not to work on the driver side?
what sensors need replacing?
whats wrong with the console?
This could be a very fair price. Not saying it couldnt be done cheaper elsewhere but it could also be what other places would charge you.
I used to have a frequent problem with my Jeep GC limited in the passenger side temp would also not switch from heat to a/c. The problem would be a "blend door" in the dash, meaning they would have to take the whole dash out to replace it. Would have probably cost $1-$2k everytime because of labor.

It's not covered by warranty because what’s wrong is not covered under the warranty.
Apparently a flap in the dash insist operating properly and blocking the heat from the driver’s side.
The parking sensors need to be replaced they start beeping randomly and need to be replaced.
The flaps in the center council in the back seat need to be replaced because they broke, they said it cannot be fixed and the entire unit needs to be replaced.
That's what’s wrong. They said the dash needs to be removed but $5000? Very few expensive parts need to be replaced. 50 hrs labour?? Seems a bit steep to me.

and for 50 hours i could replace the entire wiring harnesses in the car, including the dash. If you have a problem with a blend door, etc in the HVAC unit in the dash, look up ac evaporator labor times and thats about what you should be paying, and I can guarantee it aint no 50 hours!!! After all the HVAC unit has to be taken out from behind the dash, and taken apart to replace the evaporator and whatever door is broken can be repair replaced then, so thats what youre labor charge should be. Hell you probobly could replace the whole HVAC assembly for 5k including labor. Youre rear ac vent snap in and out, are they broken or pop out? And why do they want to replace all your reverse sensors(guessing?) put the car in reverse with they key on engine off and put your ear by each sensor, you can here them rapidly clicking if theyre working properly
