2006 Mercedes S65 AMG

 

I'm right behind you. When I get back home on Tuesday i'm going to test drive an E350 4Matic and a 528 and i'm buying one of them that day.

I love my Jaguar, but the costs to keep it up are ridiculous ($350 for a new key) and it's missing a few options i'd love to have (bluetooth stereo). I have 4 days to change my mind, but as of now i'm trading it in.

 

Nice car vinny t it would be nice too hear your comparison on the two cars after you have had it awhile I'm sure it would be a interesting read and also from you nlt 624 on which ever car you get

Works brilliantly. $14. All you need is an Aux input. Can't believe I waited two years to get it.

For my 94 XJS that does not have an Aux, I bought a Bluetooth FM transmitter that plugs into the cig lighter, also $14. Since they never work well from the front of the cabin, I hardwired it underneath the antenna assembly. It works great, but the sound quality is just OK. Still better than spending hundreds on a new stereo.

Certainly a different animal. Believe it or not, I find the Jag's interior more refined than the Merc. Some of the Merc's placement of steering column levers is downright stupid. There is a separate lever for just the cruise control.


I miss the touchscreen too. That aside, the power of this thing is ridiculous. It is a fun car and some of the options are pretty cool too. Only 427 were made in 06.

 

Very interested to hear how you get on with the S65, on my list of replacements for the SV8
