Hopefully someone would be able to assist in the matter. Currently busy with a clients Jaguar xjr which didn't want to start. Previous mechanics has changed the fuel pump with new from Jaguar.

When we plugged everything back and tried to start the car we noticed the fuel pump is not pumping, after a few test. Saw that there is power but no ground.

Where do we start? Where is the Fuel pump module located aswell? Is there a way to test the module or any repairs that can be made on the module?

Hopefully someone has struggled before and would be able to assist

I have a feeling there may be two units in the xjr, one each side of the " saddle " tank. I might be mistaken as it may be two sender units but hopefully someone can help you. I did have mine changed maybe 6 years ago or so but cannot remember what they actually did.

 

That's why I asked for the details of the car.

Yes, there are two units, but the configuration was changed from two sender units with fuel pumps to only one with fuel pump and one without during the production.
