I have just seen the final theatre teaser for the next James Bond Movie, Spectre.

At the 1:04 minute mark there is a scene where a X358 (XJR) is being driven hard and then side crashed into by somebody in a Toyota Pickup.

All I can say is what a waste of a great car, but can't wait for the next movie.

 

I recently saw a movie called "The Perfect Guy" where they crashed a beautiful x350 down a mountain and I almost cried!

 

I hope they didn't really crash an X358 XJR, only 614 were built.

 

I've seen many crashed Jags by Hollywood, including a fine XJ6 III in one of the "Rush Hour" movies. Let's face it, Jags are usually driven by villains and just don't get the same respect as Aston Martins.

Pretty cool to have our cars in these movies as the villains'.

Problem with that is its a short leap from there to where you start seeing your car everywhere with blacked out windows, gold hardware, a lifter kit, and 22" gold spoked rims.

BTW Didn't they trash a Lamborghini Miura at the beginning of The Italian Job (1969) ?

On Marvel Agents of Shield on Tuesday night, The BAD guy (Ward of Hydra) were doing crazy loops and stuff with a bad guy on his bonnet in a Jaguar F Type R (I think thats what its called). It was scrumptious.

 

Just came back from seeing SPECTRE in IMAX. All I can say is WOW! They set the C-X75 on fire and crashed the X350 XJR. And I won't spoil it for you with the fate of the fabled DB10.

Sad to see the Jaguar destroyed. Great movie!

 

I'll have to look again closely. I saw the movie last night, and after the movie it hit me. The car is M's, and in the driving sceen the interior is black. After the crash the hit man is looking for M in the car, but he's gone. But the interior is tan. Most likely 2 different cars. 1 driving, and 1 allready priviously trashed and staged for the crunch sceen.

 

I'm going to have to go see this movie!
