I'm open to any suggestions as to a better place to look for these parts...…
The car is an 07 SV8, sn H14181

I'm trying to identify the x365 version of the x350 parts listed in the prior post.

Best Regards, William

Hi William,

Have you tried jaguarmerriamparts.com? That's the Jaguar dealer in Merriam, Kansas, that sells genuine Jag parts at discount prices. You should be able to enter your VIN to determine what part numbers are correct for your car.

Cheers,

Don

William,
Thanks for taking the time to post this info!
I have an '07 XJR, and hope to do this project soon. My thought is to replace water pump and any other coolant hoses (that are not in your list). Also, to clean the intercoolers, replace SC oil, replace serp and compressor belts, belt tensioners. Be interested to know if you come across anything else which needs doing. My XJR is approaching 130K miles (and runs beautifully). I do get an occasional whiff of coolant odor, though never had to add any.
Had the (required NC) annual inspection done at a Jag shop last year. Asked about the valley hose, and was told that it was "fixed" in the X356 and later cars. Checking your parts list with the OP list, looks like the valley hose is same pn as earlier (X350) models (so much for being "fixed").
More recently, had a friend ask me about whether he should buy a 2012? SC F type (5.0 V8). I googled to see common problems, and was disappointed to note cooling issues - including the mega expensive to replace "Valley hose". Sigh...

Haha...
I can tell you it's the same and not fixed.
I enjoyed a catastrophic failure of the damn hose 2 years ago on my X356 (only 60.000 km at that time) and the repair was a big cost!

hisport;

I also plan to replace the leak prone portion of the transmission cooler lines. There is a good writeup started by meggacattin "Transmission Cooler Line Fix" that addresses the procedure I plan to use. See both posts #1 and #14. This joint on my SV8 is just barely starting to weep..... so just a matter of time to failure.

Best Regards, William

dsetter, your original post is still helping fellow jaggers change the valley hoses. I was stuck for part numbers and your post as well as other comments was very helpful for my x358. I am ready to order parts. It looks like someone suggested a jag dealer in Kansas with discounted eoms. I will compare with the place in Michigan.

my failure came at 13 years. Seems to be age related and maybe not miles… I have only 54k.

Thanks

Wforslund,
I spoke with Suburban Jaguar. They seem to offer a 15% discount on parts. I forget their exact location tho.
Best!

Don, just a heads up. The website you quoted for Jaguarmerriamparts.com is no longer up. I called them and they confirmed it was taken down… no more discounted parts. I used Suburban Jag in Michigan… 15% off oem jag parts. It was god while it lasted!

Hi chemosabe,

Yes, unfortunately Jaguar Merriam got out of the online parts business. I can't possibly remember or correct all of the threads I posted that link to. As always, parts supply is a fluid issue.

You can try https://www.jaguarparts.com/ and compare prices with Suburban Jaguar. Of course, if you know the Original Equipment Manufacturer of the part you need, you can often find the same part Jaguar sells at Rock Auto, Parts Geek, FCP Euro, SNG Barratt, Jagbits, Terry's Jags, etc.

Cheers,

Don

Also try Harper Jaguar in Knoxville. Their online prices are very good.
