Default Just changed my own brake pads and rotors

I got the parts from Auto Value (in Canada)
Rotors were Pilenga $110 each
Pads were PBR (or Axxis in USA) 82.50 a pair.

I just followed the instructions on this forum, and got some visual help from youtube.

I made sure to release the brake line valves when pushing the calipers back (so as no to damage the ABS valves).

I also made sure to use brake lube on the backs of the pads.

When I finished, I had a buddy help me bleed and flush the brake lines, and replaced the fluid with Dot 4 brake fluid.

Wow, what a difference. Silent, powerful and smooth.

Very happy with it!

I also saved a few hundred bucks!

Excellent - sounds like you've used sound technical practices for brakes.

Way to go Haggis,

A keen interest and a willingness to study the issues prior to diving in = a successfull result. There is nothing like the satisfaction of a job well done.

KBO mate.

Thanks for the encouragement guys.

I expected it to be a lot more technically difficult since it's a "jaguar!" But everything was well made and easy to work on.

Well done! To remove the rotors you have to take off the large rotor nut in the center of the hub correct? Do you recall what size that nut is? (I think I read somewhere that it is a 35mm...)
