Default Key Fob

I am in need of an additional key fob for my '09 VDP. Thinking I could save a few bucks, I ordered one on ebay, but it doesn't work. I may have not done the programming properly, but I also heard later that the remotes are made specifically for different regions. Makes sense. This photo shows my original fob and the one I ordered online. Any thoughts on what look for when searching online? I am in Canada.

Much appreciated.

Peter

It is possible that the programming hasn't worked because you haven't carried out the procedure FAST enough, you've got to be real quick
I had to do it several times before it worked, the problem was I wasn't doing it all quickly enough

Default Key Fob

For my 2004 VDP the key fob operates at 315.0MHZ. The fob has FCC and CAN certification---the Canadian certification is 3495 103 2304. These numbers are backside of the key fob case. Some countries other than the US and Canada have fobs which operate at 433MHZ.
I have attached a pic of one of my new fobs--unfortunately my photography skills are not in your class!
I am in Whitby,ON

if you need help. I also have a factory VCM and software for programming fobs.

I just bought one from Ebay and it programmed right up. You have to do the 2 of them at once but it worked the first time.
