Hi Calvin,
I have moved your thread from the forum for the X308 to the forum for the X358, which is the Jaguar factory project code for your 2008 XJ8. Here you will find knowledgeable owners of similar cars who may be able to help.
For replacement, are you using conventional incandescent bulbs or LED bulbs?

I recently replaced my mirror repeater bulbs with aftermarket sequential LED indicators.
Initially, they would function for a few seconds then trigger the bulb failure warning.
I soldered a 27 ohm 1 watt resistor across the terminals of the LED connector. I insulated the wires and covered it in heat shrink tubing.
That solved the problem. The only issue is that the unit is black/smoke color. As my car is black I don't mind.
Issues with the new bulbs, if LED could be solved with the resistor fix above.
