lifting with a scissor lift 90° turned ?
I bought a scissor lift, which consists of two parts with a hydraulic cylinder in each. They use a common hydraulic pump to be lifted.
This works fine on my other cars, as the two parts are located left and right, like the manual says.
Problem:
As the parts of my lift are only 160cm in length and the lifting points of the X350 are rather 200cm, I'm missing 40cm.
Idea:
If I'd turn my lift by 90°, one scissor would lift the front and one would lift the back of the car. For this to work the weight should be quite similar on the lifting points.
Is this an idea someone already tried or thought about ?
