Lincoln LS parts for XJ8/ wasted ball joint boots

Reading where some Lincoln LS parts will fit the XJ8, I checked at three Auto parts houses for the transmission mount for my 05 XJ8L and all three places came up with the LS part, but it looked no where near like what the 05 XJ8 part looks like.
Maybe I chose the wrong year for the LS to look up. Is the Lincoln LS that has some of the same parts for the XJ8 a certain year. I had the parts stores look up only the 05 versions.
Ball Joint Boots: On my 05 XJ8L the upper ball joint boots in the front were nothing but pieces. I ordered the package of 20 assorted boots from Malcolm Perkins in the UK, which came with-in a few days and the smallest of the set fit perfectly.
You have to disconnect the upper A Arm to expose the ball joint, clean what remains of the old boot, remove the old clamp rings--top and bottom, put a little grease on the beveled shaped 'fixed' washer and work the small end of the new boot over that washer. I then filled the boot with ball joint grease then worked the upper large end of the boot over the upper grove--somewhat tricky, but it will at last go on. No need for the ties which are supplied--good tight fit. Now both upper ball joints have new boots and look quite nice or a hell of a lot better then the exposed dirt collecting joint of old.

icmjaguar,
Sorry for the delay. Computer crashed.
In answer to your question, the address is "www.balljointboots.co.uk" I think you can email him. Try this if you want: "enquires@balljointboots.co.uk"
I think the pack was under 30 bucks------don't have the invoice.
He Airmailed the boots and I think I got them in about 3 or 4 days.
Hope this helps.
Cheers

I found a Eurospare for 99.00. Old one had deteriorated. Looked like it held the transmission. Bad cushioning.
Think the XJR or Portfolio are harder on these. Replaced at 110,000 miles.
Far as those rubber boots, they have to be better than stock. Never seen a nine year old car that hall ALL the boots and bushings disintegrated. Frame bushings were OK. That was it. Rear toe links were about to separate. One rear lower arm had no bushing, arm on bolt.
The Ford dealer has all four upper control arms. The rear lower and toe adjusters. Had to modify the rear lower a little to get strut in.
But Jaguar prices dropped and Ford went up. May be about the same.
Car sure drives nice after replacing everything.
