Default Loose Burlwood Door Trim

I recently purchased a 2006 XJ8. On the drivers (left) side, the burlwood trim around the door handle is separated from the panel. Might anyone know how I can fix it? Pictures below. Thank you!

I've moved your question from Interior to X350 forum. Members here with the same model are more likely to see it here.

Since the metal tab of the wood panel substrate is seen, it is no longer being held by the interference clip, or the clip itself is missing or broken. You'll have to remove the wood panel and look for the missing clip or straiten it if possible. The panel is removed by simply pulling outwards away from the door. If the clips come out with the tab, you should remove the clip off the tab and reinsert into the door before placing the panel back onto the door. If it's missing, you can visit your local dealer. Clip part # C2C35342 About a $1 each

Thanks for your reply! What should I use to help pull it straight off the door? I can't seem to get a good enough hold of it with just my fingers.

Thanks for your reply! What should I use to help pull it off the door? If I pull it from where its already come loose the finish will crack. Should I pull it straight from the door? I couldn't seem to get a good enough hold of it with just my fingers.

The panel itself is made of metal, with a thin wood veneer attached to it. You pull strait out on it. Give it a sturdy tug. You can use a nylon pry tool underneath it if needed. If you feel uncomfortable with it, take it by your local dealer.
