Loud Snap or Crack Noise in Driver's Window

Beginning just recently when I raise the driver's window, just as it reaches the top it makes a loud crack or snap noise. So far I can see no damage on the window glass itself. I have looked at the channel it moves up and down in but can see no worn out, torn or bent stuff.
I have not a clue what is causing this.
Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Tom

You may get a reply from someone who has experienced this but in the meantime
I would suggest that you should remove the whole mechanism and examine it carefully.
It's not easy to see any fault with the window inside the door.
Not a very pleasant job but satisfying if you can fix it yourself.

+1 on removing the door card and checking the teeth on the window riser. Sounds like the same issue I had on my wifes RR. 1 tooth was worn, usually at the end of the travel when going up. Thats the tooth that gets the most punishment. With the door card removed you will see weird movement on the track, at the end of the travel along with that sound.
