These headlight covers can be a royal pain, four drink variety. First off, not much wiggle room. Also, on my car, simply sliding the retainer clips simply is a fail. Have to unhook inboard end, move clip up and out of the way, reattach. Not too difficult. Cover itself: there is a wire hook at bottom, you simply slide the cover down to sort of snap intp place. Then unhook, position and rehook wire back where it properly resides.
I recently had both dipped/low beams fail at once, driver's side fused itself, causing a smouldering, burning of bulb and elec, plug, little else, bad odor, fuse not triggered. Im upgrading to higher output, branded bulbs. Somebody put in generic H7's, and this is a testament NOT to use off branded, shoddy bulbs. I await my new parts, better visibility, non smoker.
