MAP Sensor Pigtail Origin

MAP Sensor Pigtail Origin
Does anyone know if the pigtail ends with a connector behind the plastic boot near the rear engine compartment wall? If so, do you know how to access it so that it can be unplugged? It is almost inpossible for me to crimp new terminals that far back. If I could unplug the pigtail, I could very easily crimp the new terminals for the new connector on my work bench.
Unfortunately, the terminals would not release from the old plug and using a dremel while trying to lie on an engine doesn't make any sense at all.
I'm inclined to order a new pigtail & crimp with connectors. That is more doable while lying on the engine. Or, I could get some more wire & fix the receptacle with the terminals using the new wire & then use connectors...?
Any suggestions?
Thanks and best,
Steve S.
