Default Mina's intake tube/pulley mod. Worth it?

I'm kicking around buying the intake tube & pulley combo. Is it really worth it or just money down the drain?

From what I have researched it IS worth it if you do the PCM remap with it...Probably net you 3 tenths in the 1/4 mile...For a grand or so that's a significant performance gain...Def give you a nice gain in your butt dyno too... Name: DSCF4229-girldujour2-3-5-11_zpses3qyqlk.jpg

this is what you absolutely need to do. Get the Cadolfy(look him up here) intake pipe. Great quality and stainless steel. With that remove the flap inside the airbox...If that doesn't work for you get the mina air intake. Modify it to receive cold air(you can check my post on that)...THEN....Perhaps get that pulley. The pulley is a PIA to do...The other intake mods relatively easy. If blower whine is your thing youll love it. If not....PASS on the intake mods!

I have removed that flap a while back. I have seen posts on the Caldoofy pipe, but saw the Mina 'kit' online too. I'm pretty good at wrenching on engines but was hesitant about the pulley swap. Wasn't sure how tough that was.

I'll take a look at Caldoofy's intake tube and maybe a pulley later. Thanks for your input XX!

I just aw Mina has a pipe as well for the xjr. All I can say is that the caldolfy pipe doesn't use a hose clamp and uses factory fittings. Its a bit nicer IMO but performance I'm sure would be similar. I had a HECK OF TIME getting my factory pulley off of a blower for my xkr and the blower was off the car!. Going on they say is pretty easy. Heat pulley up in an oven...Heat it even more and then slip it on .

So for starters get the intake pipe and cold air kit....Youll love that sound....I mean..I do. Also I kept the flap solenoid connected and zip tied it hidden. Not sure I needed to but didn't know if a code would trip if disconnected
