Default Mirror swap for one with Compas
I'm looking to replace my standard auto dimming rear-view mirror for one with a digital compass. Does anyone know whether there is another module I need to get or is it simply plug and play?

My 04 XJ8 has a digital compass in the mirror, but I do not have the navigation which has a compass. That may be the difference.

Mine has Nav (red point is north) so it doesn't have the compass in the mirror.

Is it possible to have both Nav AND the rearview mirror with the compass?

Certainly is. Car has factory nav and now the compass. Works fine and agrees with the GPS. I don't believe it gets its input from the nav system.

You can put a compass mirror in the car. Just need to be sure you get the auto dimming one for the Jaguar.
