more wiper problems--washer question
So my list of "to do" warranty items for the dealer is growing longer each day.
Yesterday I used the washer for the first time since I filled up the washer tank, I get the "low washer fluid" message. The previous owner was at the dealer *3* times for this same issue, apparently they are incapable of fixing it.
Today I press the wash button, water sprays out but the wipers stay parked. The wipers work fine if I turn them on, but pressing wash doesn't activate the wipers. Before I go have an aneurism at the dealership, is this a "feature" that occurs when the washer fluid is low?

The windscreen wiper/wash setup is slightly different depending on whether you have the basic wash, headlight powerwash or rain sensitive wipers fitted.
Nevertheless, the wipers will not operate by design if the level in the Reservoir is low (see the section from the Driver's Handbook I've boxed in red):
Even though your washer Reservoir is full, if the Fluid Level sensor in the Reservoir is faulty, this will stop the wipers operating when you press the wash button.
