Default It's no longer a problem

Well, It's no longer a problem. I put Faith on Craiglslist for a ridiculous amount. Well, ridiculous called and showed up with cash... I am going to search for another, but this is no longer my issue. I didn't hide it when I sold her either...

Jason, I can understand your decision. From a technical point of view I keep thinking there must be a solution to this problem though!

Have fun looking for another one!

Jason,

No one can say you didn't do your very best and go far beyond the call of duty to resolve the malfunctions. Your work and posts will continue to be helpful to the rest of us as we try to master the air suspension. Hopefully your next Jag will be more cooperative.

Cheers, and thanks!

Don

Jason you fought your way uphill in the face of the enemy, shooting from the hip and

throwing grenades, but when you reached the machine gun nest the gun was still hot but

the enemy had gone. Nevertheless you still get the bravery award and you live to fight

another day.

Guus,
I cannot agree more. There IS a solution. Albeit one that eluded me and my efforts to find it. I cannot say my best efforts as my best efforts would have located the culprit and left me w/o any amber lights. We both live to fight another day.

Don,
To you and all the other folks that have given me the guidance to move forward when quitting wold have been easier, I thank you and commend you for the motivation needed when events got me down. I had the strength and determination to keep going. I hope that my efforts, combined with your knowledge and guidance, will aid others in the future who can get through all nine pages of my long-winded replies. In short, Thanks and I'll be back!

If only I would have had the chance to continue on where SGT's Avlin York and Audie Murphy left off when I got to the nest. Hard to fight an enemy that vanishes when you arrive... And yes, I was up for the Sergeant Audie Murphy Club twice at Regiment level. Of the five board members on each, which had to be unanimous, I got a thumbs down from one person each time. I was the Regimental NCO of the Year twice and the SAMC boards were the toughest boards EVER. It was not a Q&A type board. It was all situational. For instance, "SGT Bowman, you and your platoon are in a valley in your vehicles and you're ambushed from both sides from above, what do you do?" I was actually asked that question on one board.

Given the depth of this issue, I can say that I gave her 100%, but I still had more to give as I know there's a solution; somewhere...

Yeah, it's called 'coilover conversion'. Takes about 3 hours...

Been "Loneley" for the last few days w/o a pjoject. If I had given up and sold her, I think it would have been different. As she sold so abruptly, knowing it was a possibility, I didn't expect it.

So I picked up an 04 XJR for what I sold Faith for. Another thread about to be started if I can't figure out the current amber light and message from other posts. Cruise Control Disabled...

Hi Jason,

You really didn't last long without a Jag!!!

Our '04 XJR has had the CRUISE NOT AVAILABLE warning since we bought it, and I've only had time to do some minor investigation, including reading the codes in SDD. I'll be curious to compare notes when you start your new thread.

Cheers,

Don

Absolutely Don! I have not had the opportunity to delve into this one much as I've been slammed with other things all week. After your private messages and what I've been able to do (much much) so far, I'll get the thread going with a summation of your work, my results to the tests you've done on yours and anything else I can come up with. I've got to find the thread about the car shifting at about 1800 RPM to 2nd when beginning at a stop. Seems to happen whether I'm feathering it or slamming the pedal. Any help locating it would be appreciated.

Hi Jason, maybe start a new item. CC and engine don't have much to do with air suspension and you might get more answers on separate threads.

Agreed. I've PM'd Don and will fire up and old thread, if I can find one, or start a new one if I can't. Had a few other issues to tend to that outweighed this one at the moment. Although, already having a lead foot, this one (she told me her name was 'Betsy' this morning) being an XJR, I am REALLY going to need the CC to keep Johnny Law off my back! lol (Radar Detectors are illegal in VA)
