My beloved 04 XJR is totaled.

I keep thinking how other cars would have fared with this happening to them, and how the occupants would have been affected. The forgiveness of the aluminum parts I believe played a large part in how this event played out, a great argument for replacement of the car with same (car).
In many respects we create our own "luck" with the decisions we make. A car made of steel could very well have bucked and kicked and sprang up into the air when impacting that rock, causing upheaval, tumbling, injury, death.
I don't believe this car is salvageable or that there's much efficacy in buying the car for parts. But the "replacement" money would be wisely spent on another "R" of LKQ. XJR's FOREVER.
P.S., I know I would weep openly if this happened to my car, regardless of how grateful I was to simply survive such an event. I FEEL for you. I'd 100% replace it with another "R". My $.02.

So far I've done a coolant recovery tank, new hid headlight bulbs, and now the wheels. But then again. In the business that I am in, everything is for sale lol...
Take care,
George
