Texastim and vacmail were asking about tinting their windows. I wanted to weigh in on this, as I had my 2005 radiance VDP tinted shortly after I bought it this summer. I did NOT go with a dark tint; I did something like 30% tint I think (that's 30% tint, NOT 30% light transmission). I don't like uber-dark tint; looks ridiculous in my opinion. My opinion is that I love it; it makes the car look sooo beautiful. However, I do not like the results of the tinted rear window at night. I feel that it cuts TOO much glare; it looks very dark in the rearview mirror. (I think we can blame it on the auto-dimming mirror, unless I'm mistaken.) so if I could do it again, I'd do the rear window a shade lighter than what I did the sides. here in Ohio I had a top-notch shop do it for just under $200. That is money that was very well-spent. FYI I do not have NAV so I cannot comment about the metallic-based film interfering with it's reception.
