Default My solution to the proprietary wiper issue.

Now I can use any standard wiper possible. I really wanted Bosch Icons but Autozone assured me they wouldn't fit, though the Bosch Evolutions were said to fit. In the end I found the real issue when I went to install them. This was my solution. I'll get Icons next time around.

I removed the center attachment point from the OEM wiper assembly and clipped off all the excess plastic and attached the jet to the arm lower on the assembly. I then cut the hose to length and attached it to the jet. I'm happy with the look of the result.

Looks ok but does the water spray cover the screen?

I ran into the same problem with replacement wipers. Ended up using "RainX" brand, which work fine, though initially a tight fit

Like the ones shown, these are single piece wipers, rather than the old style multi piece metal ones

I did try bosch replacements to no avail (too wide)

It does spray below the blade mostly which isn't really how it's designed to be used but it still seems to work well. I didn't like the idea of finding a blade that will fit the factory center plastic piece. It felt like it was going to instantly break when I went to take it apart.

Just installed a set of bosch aerotwins with built in sprayers. Fit perfect.
Only downside is that I had to order them from ebay at $50 and they were shipped out of Romania so took a while to get here.
I've read that the sprayers on these are a little weak but mine throw more washer fluid than oem.

Thanks for the inspiration, Torrid. I just did mine the same way and everything works perfectly. I installed a set of Trico refills just a few months ago and they were already starting to streak and haze all over the place. Much better now.
