H20 you did the Bluetooth, I have the Jag talk phone in the XJR so have a mic built in, do you know if I can get a Bluetooth module and plug it in somewhere so it picks up my IPhone4? I have heard differing things such as you can plug a unit into the trunk somewhere or plug it into the back of the head unit but no one can give me specifics and Internet searches don't produce anything. Any ideas did you have the phone in the car?

Robert, the car didn't come with the phone or mic either. I purchased a salvage phone module (if you have one, it wlll be underneath the CD changer, just above the jag voice module) and a new lead link. The link is a replacement fibre optic 'harness' with just as many 'devices' as you have in the car. Extra connectors dangling, like say you deleted the jaguar voice, you'd need a loop to close that circuit on the fiber optic. Anyway, after installing the phone module and replaced the lead link harness in the boot, the bluetooth just plugged into an existing connector in the console, accessible after pulling the rear vent panel out. That was the easiest part (meaning the BT), actually. I think there were a few 04's that didn't have the right plug in the console, but i'd give it a try assuming best case scenario. i'm an optimist.

I got my ACM installed, no problems there, except I bent the USB cable and it wouldn't read my SD card reader, so had to buy another quality cable. I'm still confused by the what the emulation of Discs 2, 3, (4 greyed out) and 6 do. I am using Disc 1 to change folders up/down, then waiting until it changes to Disc 5 (for play all tracks on the folder) then change selections if necessary. Discs 2 and 3 just confuse me as to what function they serve. Oh well, the sound quality is very good, and I can navigate somewhat, so I am content.

Now, its' time to add a little more bass to the stock system and get rid of those small 6.5" subs; I've got an inspiration and will post up another thread when I tackle that project in the next couple weeks.

As I said, I am using an SD card reader, 16GB in size, and am using multiple folders of .mp3s.

Oh, with some electrical aid provided from WhiteXKR, his instructions enabled me to convert my accessory outlets (all three of them) to constant 12v power - not switched with the car. My cigarette lighters wouldn't behave though, so left them switched with the normal relay. Sometimes I like to leave my phone charging in the car overnight.

What would be your price for all 4 chromes? Is your spare chrome as well?

Silk, here is my for sale thread. I still have the wheels for sale, boxed up in storage. My spare is silver, not chrome,BTW. Price is $950, not $1100 as shown in the title.

Yes, its a speaker-level input into the LC2i, then preamp-level out to the amplifier. I had a 10-inch subwoofer waiting to be used, but I think a 12-inch would be perfect. The cabin is still very well sealed, and I didn't remove the two 6-inch woofers from the back parcel shelf. That would probably help A TON if I did, but with the electric rear seats, their removal procedure is a PITA. So, they sit there, unused.

Thanks biggie, you realize, you were the inspiration for myself, and many others when you spearheaded the grille-swap movement on this car.

Also, next time I visit my friends in Brampton, I'm sending you a PM in advance! I had no idea you were that close to them. I think I played golf in Mississauga when I was up there in May. Whenever I travel up there, I miss my cars, so you could be doing a solid for a fellow forum member when I'm experiencing some withdrawals and rental car resentment, by offering me a driving tour of your lovely City.

Hey H20boy, wish I could say that the grille swap was my original idea. But, BuckMR2 over at Jaguar Forums UK was where I got the idea from Either way, glad you guys were inspired to do the same . Yes, definitely let me know when you're in town next time. I' ll show you around the city and take in a round of golf too( just took up the sport in the spring) Can't get enough of golf! I'am at the driving range daily and playing every weekend!

I got a couple of promotional Jag golf umbrellas, and was trying to work out how to put some velcro straps in the boot lid. I looked at your pics and tried to prise out one of the plastic retainers, but the head broke off. Can you desribe how you fitted yours? Do you suppose it is realistic for me to expect to bodge up an umbrella retainer? I am far too mean to buy a Jag original retainer kit.

do those pliers cut the mushroom head off, or pull it out?

edit, ah, I think I see. The outer jaw presses down on the panel, and the inner jaw goes round the spike and pushes the head up.

I got a pair of those pliers, very cheap ones off fleabay, and they worked fine. The plastic buttons were undamaged and I have refitted them Added two black nylon army watchstraps and I now have two green Jag golf umbrellas on the boot lid.

the straps cost $17 less than the part you linked
