My wife (Erica) calls our Jaguar 'James' The Jaguar!
Not 'Jim'...
Not 'Jimmy'...
...'James'
She says, "Home James"...

I tell you this so that you can feel less 'Weird' if you or your partner have 'named' your jaguar?

 

In the past year or so all of my Jags have been affectionately known as "Dragar". My daughter is 2 and loves the Jags, but pronounces it Dragar, and the name has sort of stuck. Wife will go out and say, "Can I take the Dragar?" I get a kick out of it.

 

I call it "Dresser", but "James" that's what I like!

 

Mine is called Jasper Black, after the registration plate.

From the movies, or T V, it seems.
Usually said from the rear, of a very expensive luxury car.
They are having a great time, but are in no condition to drive
Addressing the driver, as to where to go next.

We've nicknamed our Radiant Red '04 XJ-8 "Big Red" after the horse 'Secretariat'. Like that marvelous thoroughbred it's strong, elegant in its own right and can accelerate when asked to do so. 'Big Red' just seem to fit.
